BSNL 5G SIM prepaid card price and monthly tariff

Are you planning to buy a prepaid BSNL sim card anytime soon or trying to port the existing mobile number to BSNL service? If yes, read this article for the latest update.

 

Due to hike in mobile prepaid tariff from different service providers, the customer is planning to move to BSNL 5G prepaid sim that was recently introduced by them where its competitors were already implementing 5G sim.

Since BSNL has 5G sim for the service, the customer from different telecom service providers would like to either port the number to BSNL or buy a new SIM card from BSNL. How about you?

Mobile Number Porting to BSNL and its process:

If you would like to port the number from different Telecom to BSNL then you have to first decide on an SMS for unique code to get in order to show it to the BSNL representative to initiate the process and migrate it later. How to port to BSNL?

Once you get the porting code through SMS, you need to visit the nearest BSNL office with your Aadhar card and Rs 270. The rest, the customer care counter executive will guide you accordingly.

Buying a New SIM from BSNL:

 
As we observed, buying a new SIM of BSNL is easier than MNP (mobile number portability). Yes, you heard it right, you just need to carry an Aadhar card, current mobile (number) for OTP / reference / SMS to process it to get the SIM card.
 
Once the process is over there then you need to pay Rs 270 (as per current scenario) to get the new SIM card (from the list of latest number options provided by them).
 
How to activate new BSNL sim card?
 
It will be auto-activated within few hours and able to get incoming calls if you have shared the new number to them. The sim will be generally activated in 24 hours and if not activated then you can dial 123 then select the option 1 to know the balance besides tentative expiry date. Wait for more than 24 hours (during working or non-working days) to get SIM activated for a validity period to call or use net connectivity.

 

In case the SIM is not activated but you are getting incoming calls only (even if not) then you can contact the SIM sellers to know the status, they might have skipped for FRC (First Recharge) to activate it stating various reasons.

And, if there is any other issues like no network tower showing on phone or even incoming call is not getting then you can call the customer care (1503) or contact the same place where you got the SIM from.

 

Data will be activated after two hours of SIM activated. And, you can activate the data by sending SMS as below;

 

SMS type as Start and send it to 1925. Likewise you can Stop by SMS type as Stop to 1925.
 
You can enjoy it once it is clearly activated by BSNL.
