JIO 5G in India
There is a good news for India from Reliance Jio. 5G is coming soon from JIO. RILAGM, Mukesh D. Ambani announces a roadmap to Jio 5G and upgrading India's digital experience.
As India is standing at the doorsteps of the 5G era, we should accelerate the migration of 350 million Indians, who currently use a 2G feature phone, to an affordable smart phone, stated by Mukesh Ambani at RILAGM.
He further stated, Reliance is now truly a zero Net Debt company, well ahead of my goal of March 2021. Mr. Ambani further welcomed Google, as an esteemed partner in Jio. Also, Mr. Ambani thanks the shareholders for making the Rights Issue a phenomenal success. He spoke about Business and Financial Performance at 43rd RILAGM.
Mr. Sundar Pichai from Google stated that, Everyone should have access to the internet. Proud to partner with RelianceJio to increase access for the hundreds of millions in India who don’t own a smartphone with our 1st investment of $4.5B from the Google For India Digitization Fund.
JIO further replied on this. "Through this partnership, we are confident that we can accelerate the national mission of putting a smart device in the hands of every Indian."

Reliance will work with other Indian companies, including start-ups, to vigorously promote “Made-in-India”, “Made-for-India” and “Made-for-the-World” products, stated by Mukesh Ambani.
Jio are partnering to build an Operating System that could power a value engineered, entry-level 4G/5G smartphone. The Jio-Google partnership is determined to make India 2G-mukt.
