Google House event in Bangalore
I got an invitation for Google
House event on 18th Aug 2015 at Leela Palace Hotel, Bangalore,
India. This is the third and different event from Google within two years that
I had attended so far. However, this is the first 'Google House' event in India and the next event would cover other cities in India soon. Anyhow, I am thankful to Google and its association / heads who always
inviting me for the same. Last year, Google's Thinkmobile event was huge too at Vivanta Taj, Bangalore.
Now, coming back to point. This time Google introduced its product viz. India’s ‘mobile first’ world, which includes the latest updates and features on Google’s search, voice search, Maps, Photos, Translate and YouTube apps etc.
Some of the celebrities in Google
House were Chef Kunal Kapur, Fashion Photographer Dabboo Ratnani, YouTube
comedic sensation Kanan Gill and well known Photographer Anushka Menon. Their
live discussion were going on how Google’s mobile products make their lives a
little easier.
Google Country Marketing Director, Sandeep Menon said that “Indians are coming online from mobile devices at an incredibly rapid rate – six to seven million new mobile internet users every month”.
The best one was voice search, voice search gives perfect result and Visual translation for Indic Language (image word translate) immediately from English word to any listed languages. This feature is currently available for Android 4.0.3+ and iOS 7.0+.
Google Photos help automatically backs up your photos and videos across all your devices. It will store in cloud too. Other than this, you can take YouTube videos offline for buffer-free playback. The next one is No Internet? No problem for Google Maps for a mobile first India, so, discover the world from the palm of your hand.
There were three different
rooms and decorated as #Google House and three different sessions were there for
demo and live question and answer. You may see the pictures herewith.
In the beginning, there was an outstanding star hotels' lunch with special dishes and savories. At the end, again the sweets and snacks. Wow! These all are happened within just less than three hours and I like the event in that way to save my time too. Plus, a carry bag of Google which contains a Pen, Diary, T Shirt of Google with notes.
